Design for your space

Customize Your Nests

The interior wood species is the thumbprint feature of our Nest design. We chose Birdseye Maple for this interior frame because it pairs beautifully with all of our exterior species options.

We offer 4 exterior wood species for you to choose from as you build your Nest wall! You can also select the hardware finish you prefer to ensure the design works perfectly to fit your space.

Our Select Wood Species

Each Nest is handcrafted with solid wood– never any stains or finishes. Our signature interior wood frame features our Birdseye Maple species. The exterior wood species is customizable to fit your unique space. You can choose from Walnut, Cherry, White Oak or Wenge to ensure you get the perfect look for your Nest wall.

American Birdseye Maple

The distinguishing small, rounded "eyes" scattered across this pale cream to light brown wood makes every single Nest unique. We chose to make the interior species the thumbprint feature of our Nest design. All of our exterior wood species are enhanced by this distinctive interior frame. The natural highlights running throughout the wood make a perfect home for any wine bottle you choose to display.

American Black Walnut

The rich brown coloration and cooperative working characteristics of American Black Walnut makes it one of the most beloved species by fine craftsmen. Grain patterns such as curl, crotch, and burl can be found in it's pale brown color with ribbons of dark chocolate throughout. We chose American Black Walnut as our "signature" exterior Nest species because of it's timeless heirloom quality and defining color patterns.

American Black Cherry

Known for it's stunning reddish color and satiny texture, Black Cherry is the perfect addition to our Nest wood species options. It's moderate natural luster gives a silky smooth finish that shines next to our signature Birdseye Maple interior frame.

American White Oak

The incredible mixture of straight grain and often a tiger stripe grain creates a fantastic pattern in our American White Oak Nests. As a nod to winemakers, this is our only quarter sawn wood species– selected because of it's frequent appearance in wine barrels. Quarter sawing is a lumber milling technique used to produce a straight, stable and more visually appealing wood grain.

African Wenge

African Wenge is known for its deep brown, almost liquid black color. It mostly features a coarse texture with a straight grain. This species boasts a rich, dramatic appearance with fine black veining all throughout.
